Drone News: Drone racer speeds over boats in Delaware’s Pot Nets Communities

High Speed Drones Spotted in Pot-Nets Communities. A vacationer staying here for the week couldn’t resist the opportunity to film this beautiful area. Drone racing is a niche community, but Drone 14’s owner – Jeremy Bodechon has taken these machines to the next level.

“I added an expensive HD camera to a high performance racing drone” says Jeremy. He has been able to capture unusual shots and unique high speed passes of the community. When asked if he was worried about the water, his response was- “Well you certainly need to know how to fly, –but yeah, it’s a bit nerve racking…but the video is totally worth it”

We asked a bystander what they thought of the buzzing drone in the air- “Wow” one person said. Another stated: “what a cool toy – I wonder how fast they go”. —-But make no mistake, these are not toys. We asked about some of his drone fleet and where to buy.
—-“You can’t by these off the shelf. They are all hand built. These drones are similar to drag racing cars- you cant just go to the dealership and pick one up. Some (drones) go an excess of 100mph. If I crash in the water, there’s no getting it back- it’s lost forever.” Not to mention, about two to three thousand dollars (and many hours of build time) gets flushed into the bay- literally”

In summary, it looks like “boys and their toys” are now bringing us more than screeching tires on the streets. Instead, we get to view a new perspective from the sky.
